Mashed Potatoes and Pumpkin (Alu & Rongalau Pitika)


Ingredients
:

Two medium sized Potatoes (alu)
150 gm Pumpkin (rongalau)
One medium sized onion (piaz)
1/4th teaspoon mustard oil (xhorioh tel)
Two-three chilies (jolokia)
Coriander leaves (dhania paat)
Salt to taste
Optional: Yellow mustard seeds (halodhia Xhorioh)

Method:

Boil the potatoes and pumpkin. Take them off the water and place them on a plate. Add chopped onions, chilies, coriander leaves, salt, and mustard oil to the boiled vegetables and mash them together. (You can even make a paste of yellow mustard seeds and add it to the dough). Your mashed potato and pumpkin is ready to serve two to three people.
